Along the path of the badlands, among fine wines and surprising cured meats
Mattia, an agronomist and winemaker, inherited a tradition spanning over a century in Costa Vescovato, in the Alessandria area, but it is in his skilled hands that the noble Timorasso and the popular Barbera (because there’s nothing more “pop” than Barbera for a toast) acquire new luster, a distinct personality, and a harmonious pleasantness.
Mattia’s farm stands out between the Alessandria plain and the Tortona hills, where biodiversity reigns supreme. Indeed, Terre di Sarizzola is renowned not only for its wine but also for the production of ‘Salame Nobile del Giarolo,’ aged in the historic tuff cellar according to a centuries-old tradition.
Here, everything is a must-try.
